We have an excellent pedigree in criminal and environmental prosecutions and any civil claims arising therefrom.
We assist with prosecutions brought in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. Our experience covers the full range of Health and Safety law, from corporate and gross negligence manslaughter cases to HSWA prosecutions arising from non-fatal accidents. We also have experience of trading standards, food safety and food hygiene and product safety.
In addition to trial advocacy, we offer a full advisory service, from the earliest stages of an investigation to general compliance and policy issues.
We have expertise in the presentation of mitigation, both written and oral, these skills extend to securing alternative outcomes, such as Improvement Notices and Prohibition Notices.
We have particular experience of environmental enforcement cases and have advised and represented across a range of prosecutions, including escape of controlled waste, release of noxious/harmful substances, pollution and asbestos related issues.
