  She has extensive experience of all aspects, including occupational injuries, public and occupiers’ liability claims, holiday claims, injuries involving animals and road traffic accidents.

• Professional Discipline & Regulation

  Clare represents nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals before the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the General Medical Council and the Healthcare Professions Council.

  She also represents members of the teaching profession at the National College of Teaching and Learning.

• Employment

  Clare has advised and represented both Claimant and Defendants in a wide range of employment cases, including those involving unfair dismissal, flexible working and contractual disputes.

  She has particular expertise in discrimination cases and has secured six figures awards in a number of highly contested claims.

• Costs & Litigation Funding

  Clare has experience of a wide range of costs issues, including the enforceability of conditional fee agreements and other points of principle.

  She has represented both paying and receiving parties at detailed assessments of costs.

• Clinical Negligence

  Clare deals with cases of surgical and pharmaceutical negligence, dental negligence, misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis, inappropriate treatment and failure to obtain informed consent.

• Credit Hire

  Clare has a busy credit hire practice, acting for Claimant and Defendants, particularly in high value claims.

  She is fully familiar with all of the frequently argued issues.

• Inquests

  Clare has experience of acting in inquests, including those involving prisons, retirement homes and hospitals, instructed by families and by other interested persons.

  In addition to representation at inquest hearings, Clare advises families and interested persons in preparation for inquests and she attends pre-inquest reviews.
